In 2003, St Anne's Church in Singleton joined with two of our other local parishes - St. Chad located in Poulton-le-Fylde and St. Hilda located in Carleton.
There has been a church on the site since 1358, when Henry Duke of Lancaster granted the custody of the Chapel of “St Mary’ to John de Est Witton, a hermit.
Singleton is termed ‘the Model Village of the Fylde’. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, the settlement was remodelled as an estate village in the late nineteenth century.
